The MPC60 was a 16 voice polyphonic 12-bit 40 kHz sampler / 99 track sequencer designed in large part by Roger Linn after Linn Electronics closed. It was similar to the Linn 9000. Akai released it in 1988. It had 750 kB memory standard, expandable to 1.5 MB. The sequencer is very flexible and powerful, famous both for its "swing" setting, and its easy to use step programming. It had 2 MIDI inputs / 4 MIDI outputs, allowing it to control up to 64 devices. The sequencer itself was offered as a separate product, known as the ASQ10, also released in 1988. The MPC60-II was nearly identical to the MPC60, but it featured a headphone output, and a plastic case, instead of the metal case of the original. It was released in 1991.

The MPD24 is a MIDI-over-USB pad controller for DJs, programmers, producers, and others musicians. Built around the controls from Akai Professional's industry-standard MPC series, the MPD24 is an expressive and intuitive instrument for the studio and stage.

The heart of the MPD24 is its bank of 16 velocity and pressure-sensitive MPC pads, an Akai Pro exclusive. You can access four different banks of sounds from the MPC pads for a total of 64 sounds at your fingertips. The MPD24 also borrows the MPC series' assignable Q-Link controllers, enabling you to control nearly any parameters in your software in real time. You get six assignable Q-Link faders and eight assignable Q-Link 360° knobs so you'll spend less time with the mouse and more time making music. AKAI S20 Midi Stereo Digital Phrase Sampler Expanded to 17Mb, In excellent working condition with Power supply and original manual - I have used this for various recording projects and for gigs and it's never let me down. Selling now to make a bit of space.
The power adaptor wire (DC 10 volt end, not the mains plug end) is a little delicate, but still works fine - just needs to be handled carefully!

PLEASE NOTE THE POWER SUPPLY IS A BRITISH ONE (230-250V AC 50Hz) WITH A BRITISH PLUG.
You would need an adaptor/or another 10voltDC power supply if you intend to buy this and use it overseas.
