The third drum-computer in MFB''s 50X series introduces a more powerful sound and a new operational concept. Due to its analogue origin, kick, snare and toms can be edited in various ways. The RS7000 is a major groove production workstation! It's sort of like Akai's MPC-series, combining sampling and sequencing, but with an added internal synth engine. The RS7000 is particularly suited for dance, techno, Hip Hop, R&B, and ambient genres.

The sampler section consists of a 4MB (expandable to 64MB) sampler (5kHz to 44.1kHz or 32kHz to 48kHz via digital option board). You can use it to sample external sounds, re-sample the RS7000's sounds itself, or load samples from a variety of common formats! Auto-beat slicing lets you easily sample any loops or sounds and sync them to your sequence tempo! All the professional sampling and editing features you'd expect are here, and more!

The tone generator offers 62-voice polyphonic AWM2 synthesis, with over 1,000 synth sounds and 63 drum kit sounds (all via ROM). Here you'll find the resonant filters (6 types), advanced LFO modulation, BPM-synchronized LFO waveforms, and more! Edits made to the internal sounds, as well as to any samples are all stored within your sequence patterns.

The Sequencer is the real meat of the RS7000, where you make music out of the sounds it's got and that you've put into it! It offers pattern-based recording with 16 tracks each, and a 200,000 note-per-song capacity. Linear sequencer sequencing, like you would do using a software sequencer like Cubase, is also supported by the RS7000. Pattern-based sequences can be converted to the linear format as well. wide by 3-1/2" high. The drum machine has eight preset patterns, volume and tempo controls, a 1/4" phone
jack output, and some unknown switch. It operates on 115 VAC and works great. I tested it through an amplifier
and it has some vintage funky-sounding beats.

Amazing sounding machine, im only selling as i dont have much time to use it anymore. It has a fully ANALOGUE kick and Snare, Sampled (but tweakable/tunable) HiHats, Rims, Shakers, Rides, Claps etc. It really is a fantastic sounding machine and one which you dont see for sale very often these days!

This is is the updated version (v2.09) which along with MIDI IN / OUT / THRU and DIN SYC also has midi output for 3 sequencer tracks which you can use to sequence 3 other pieces of equipment, such as synth sor other drum machines, making this an extremely versatile machine and great for live use getting away from the computer sequencer!

It comes complete with its original German manual and a printed English Translation + Other documentation.

KORG KEIO contesa minipops MP7 vintage...for sale!

Listed here is this classic Keio Korg Contessa Mini Pops 7 Automatic Rhythm Instrument.

This rare drum machine made in the early 70's was made by the Keio Electronic Lab in Tokyo Japan. It was made famous by Jean-Michel Jarre on his 1976 "Oxygene" album.

There was a later version of this rhythm machine available labelled Univox SR-95. They were meant to be identical but there were two major differences. On the later version, the "Beguine" pattern was different and the "Rim Shot" was replaced with a "Cowbell". This doesn't sound like much but anyone trying to recreate Jean-Michel Jarre's sound would struggle because both the original Beguine pattern and the rim shot were used extensively by the French master of lazers!

To the unit itself. It's in perfect working order with no issues. Every control is operating exactly as it should and the sound is crisp and clean. All the contacts are clean and there are no scratchy sounds from any of the buttons, sliders or the tempo control.

Cosmetically, this Mini Pops 7 is in excellent condition. It's missing its "Back Door" but that doesn't cause any problems. The chrome carry handle and retaining clip are still present and operational. All in all, this is a fantastic and very collectable Rhythm machine in perfect working order.

This listing is for a nice Syndrum Quad with custom wood sides. The unit is 100% functional and in nice cosmetic condition as well. Included is a really long (I think it's 15 or 20 ft) breakout cable in order to trigger the 4 modules. It was wired into my patchbay so you will just need to add 1/4" connectors to the 4 ends. I had it custom made because the original trigger cable was short and always got tangled.

Sound Master Stix ST-305 Analogue Drum machine.
A great little drum machine made in 1981 which was a direct answer to the Roland Trs.

In very good condition.
It has a very strong mellow thump sound to the kick and general all round analogue warmth which can be controlled from the sweep of the hard to soft tone control to bring its presence out, it sounds great.

Sequencer - 16-step sequencer with Fill-in and Variation effects
Patterns - 8 programmable rhythm patterns (six 16-step, two 12-step)
It also has control trigger in and out, one a constant clock pulse and the other programmable via the accent.

The real beauty of the is machine is it has a direct output for every drum sound.
I have only ever used this drum machine with batteries as I never wanted to risk using a power supply or giving it the wrong voltage or impedance, but I’m sure it would work fine with a power adaptor, but as I say it’s a lovely machine and I wasn’t prepared to take that risk and the batteries last for ages anyway, the batteries are used for its memory also.

It does come with its original manual but it’s in German you may be able to find a UK manual on line somewhere.

Please note, personally it took me a bit of time to get my head around it to program, and it has to be programmed to get any sound out of it, but once up and running it is a very unique drum machine and I’m sure there’s not many of these around.

I don't know too much about the history of this machine, but apparently it was one of the first units ever made by Roland. If you're looking for a vintage drum machine that really shows how vintage it is, then this is it. Nothing like this is made these days.

Powers up and plays ok, but there is noise when using the almost antique sliders. Comes with built in speakers and various inputs for start / audio input, etc.
Shipping is from Japan and is insured. Takes about 2 - 3 weeks, sometimes a bit faster.
*Seller is based in Fukuoka, an area of Japan which was unaffected by the recent earthquake and tsunami.

RARE Vintage Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR8L....for sale!

Vintage Ace Tone Rhthym Ace FR8L 'Rhythym Producer' analogue Drum Machine.
These machines are becoming more and more rare, and this one is in full working order.
'Ace Tone' were founded in 1960 and went on to become a name we all know these days, Roland.
This unit was launched around 1974, and dates from that time.
It's housed in an elegant wooden cabinet, which has a couple of minor scuffs and marks, but for something that's almost 40 years old, and was heavily used in its earlier days, it's done not badly. The only thing 'wrong' with it, is the screws have been removed from the folding music desk! The Music desk is there (as can be seen in the pics) and will need 6 small screws to re-attach it.

We have a sensible reserve on this unit, or you can buy it now!
There is only this one, and once it's sold, it's sold.
As it is such an instrinsically valuable piece of musical history, we would prefer it to be collected, but will courier at cost.

Note, these usually sell for between £130 and £160 and the reserve price reflects this.

If you're anything like me...you'll have used Fruity Loops & FL Studio!
Fruity Loops 2/3 to be exact has been a fave of mine for many years! having paid £99 for it many years ago!...and altho I'm not these days a regular user I still love going back to my old fave prog Fruity Loops from time to time and make some tracks, I have FREE lifetime updates and probably have every update from the last 10 years or so the later FL Studio never quite had that simple interface usability that I initially loved about the program...I bought it initially just because I wanted a simple PC based drum machine but got a lot lot more...anyway enuff of my LIFESTORY with Fruity Loops my point of this post IS they have now released a mouthwatering iPad/iPhone & iPod Touch version FL Studio mobile and I've got to be honest it looks amazing, with this and all the other great music stuff on the iPad...Korg are doing some amazing stuff! I think its now time to get out there and purchase that iPad!...altho why they have created this purely for Apple devices is a complete mystery considering Fruity Loops etc was always a PC program.....weird...but AWESOME!...!

You are bidding on a rare SIMMONS CLAP TRAP hand clap synthesizer with a Diamond Series DS-750 Step Up/Step Down U.S. to U.K voltage transformer.

The Simmons Clap Trap was made in England. This one is in very good cosmetic and working condition. All of the adjustments (volume, humaniser, delay) work perfectly. I haven't tried the foot switch or any of the other triggers so I can't be 100% positive that they work. 3 knobs are missing face plates but that doesn't affect the working of the machine.

The transformer is required to use the Clap Trap in the U.S. It weighs 10 lbs. and will be shipped separately within the U.S. (by a slower and cheaper method) and will not be shipped to foreign bidders.

ROLAND TR707....a classic....for sale!

RELISTED DUE TO BUYER CHANGING THEIR MIND - PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT SHIP TO OVERSEAS BUYERS!*
As heard on countless classic Chicago house and acid tracks, the TR 707 is still as distinctive - and fantastic - as when it first appeared over 25 years ago.
Although not revered in the same way as the 808 and 909 rhythm composers, its sounds are instantly recognizable.

Item is in very good condition. There are some very minor cosmetic marks but nothing that affects performance. The LCD matrix screen, faders, buttons and connections are all fully functional. The battery compartment cover is missing (this is common with any of these units these days), but you can still use batteries for memory back-up without any issues. I can't vouch for the condition of the cartridge slot, as I've not used it.

Does not come in original box or user manual (a PDF of which can be found very easily online, anyway), and the PSU is a suitable replacement.

KAY Rhythmer VTG Model R12...for sale!

Heres some info from the seller of this great machine:

Hello everyone, I got lots of questions about this machine so I went and did my homework!
I was able to borrow an amplifier to plug it in and test it - here is what I found out:
it does make the sound of the beats, in all of the different styles and tempos BUT: there is a constant sound coming out of the speaker - like a high-pitched, constant tone. I have no idea what that means - is it a problem with my friend's amp? A feedback situation? Something that can be fixed? I just don't know. I don't know if this is something that is happening because of the drum machine itself or because of the cord or if it's something that needs fixing or if this machine needs to be discarded completely.

If you know exactly what this means, how to fix it or work around it, then it is for you.
Otherwise, if there are no bids, I will assume that it is, sadly, for landfill.

NOW this is a classic piece of kit...here's a little bit of info from the seller!....
I don't know too much about the history of this machine, but apparently it was one of the first units ever made by Roland. If you're looking for a vintage drum machine that really shows how vintage it is, then this is it. Nothing like this is made these days.

Powers up and plays ok, but there is noise when using the almost antique sliders. Comes with built in speakers and various inputs for start / audio input, etc.

Shipping is from Japan and is insured. Takes about 2 - 3 weeks, sometimes a bit faster.

*Seller is based in Fukuoka, an area of Japan which was unaffected by the recent earthquake and tsunami.

Linn Electronics LM-1 Drum Computer.
It is the very first model ever made by Roger Linn and has a serial number 00461 (0nly 500 were made).
Unit was tested and plays sequences (sometimes just bleeps), though it's very intermittent-it fails to load sounds, sometimes will freeze etc. Servicing is required to get it to its original working condition though we think that it may be that it's just the tape that needs changing (plus a general clean-up).

Needless to say it's a pre-1982 historic piece and very collectable!

This is THE classic drum machine of the 80's - it launched the drum machine revolution! The Linn LM-1 Drum Computer was created by guitarist Roger Linn and he used samples of acoustic drum sounds. At the time, they sounded great and much more realistic and they were a fresh alternative to the analog drum sounds of the '80's drum machines. About 500 LM-1's were made before the LinnDrum model appeared in 1982.

There are twelve 28kHz samples including: snare, kick, three toms, hi-hat's, tambourine, congas, claps, cowbell, and rimshot, but no ride or crash. There are also 100 memory patches! Patterns can be created in real or step time. An innovations of the time was the swing and quantize functions that appeared on the LM-1. The LM-1 is an historical synth that has a place in the sound of music from the heart of the '80's. Only 500 of these things are out there so don't count on finding one easily. It has been used by Phil Collins, Thompson Twins, Stevie Wonder, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, John Carpenter, Todd Rundgren, Prince, and The Art of Noise.

CHAMBERLIN RHYTHMATE Drum Machine Synth Sampler-RARE
DESCRIPTION:
Rare, vintage drum machine.
Chamberlin Rhythmate model 20. Serial #4151. 14 tape loops, each loop with 3 different prerecorded drum tracks on it. Volume and tempo controls. Power indicator light. Single RCA jack on back. New 9 volt battery and 1 amp fuse included. (Note that this model does not have an internal speaker. Use an RCA to 1/4" plug to play through your guitar amplifier.)

Plywood cabinet finished with wood grain plastic laminate (formica). Painted aluminum face plate. There is a large steel bracket mounted on bottom bearing the Chamberlin manufacturer's plate (this bracket hugs the edge of my kitchen counter nicely, but presumably also functions as a means to hang the unit vertically, face plate up).

Circa mid 1970s (assuming the wiki article below is accurate), but the technology definitely belongs to the 1950s-60s. USA.

According to the wiki article below, fewer than 700 Chamberlins (comprising all models) were made 1951-1981, with fewer than 50 working examples accounted for today.

Any advice on blocking the motor or otherwise securing the mechanism for shipping is welcome.
CONDITION:

COSMETIC CONDITION:
When I purchased this Rhythmate the fuse holder cap was absent. I was unable to locate a satisfactory replacement cap so I had a new Radio Shack fuse holder professionally installed. The replacement fuse holder is not markedly different in appearance compared with the original (see various photos of other examples in the links above) and did not require any modification of the face plate.

Otherwise the unit is all original and in generally excellent cosmetic condition. No other replaced, non original or missing parts. No other restorations/modifications/alterations. No signs of abuse.

No chips, cracks, dings, dents, corrosion, significant scratches.
All lettering is intact/legible.
Light, use-related wear, including superficial rubs and scratches to the face plate and scattered, minute edge-nicks to the formica. Nothing significant / conspicuous.

FUNCTION:
Note: my experience with Chamberlin Rhythmates is limited to this unit.
The unit appears to be fully functional. I was able to play all 42 tracks without difficulty. Levers move easily with no issues. Power indicator lamp works.

As with all vintage mechanical/electro mechanical items I would advise having the unit professionally cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. There is no evidence this unit has ever been serviced. I suspect this device has been sitting unused for some time.

The Synare 2:
This was Star's flagship model., with one oscillator with sawtooth, and pulse waveforms,
white noise generator, etc.
But this had assignable functions, ie. routing the LFO to control certain parameters at once.
The LFO also added a sawtooth waveform) You could also select a wide range of octaves for the pitch to sound at, along with a fine tune function.
A major adjustment was the introduction of a fairly advanced sequencer with different patters, and the ability to change patterns and octaves. You could also adjust the speed and the note(s) sounded by the sequencer.

RARE GB Rhythm analog drum machine pedal Colorsound...for sale!

A very RARE GB Rhythm drum machine pedal from the 1970's that I think was made by the historic Colorsound company in England. Works 100% with no issues, just tested into my Fender Vibrolux Reverb and it sounds like it did back in the day when I used it with my Guitorgan Condor GSM rig. Sounds sooo friggin cheezy its cool. Every setting 1 to 10 works along with the speed and volume controls. Runs on 2-9volt batteries for 18 volts of DC power.

If Dr Dre, Ez E and Ice Cube had this back in the day with N.W.A instead of the TR808, the drum machine sounds would have been a lot cooler in my opinion.

This is a Roland Rhythm 330 TR 330 Drum machine circa 1973. One of the first few models they made. Pure analogue
This is rare in the UK seems to work fine, internal speaker and output for amplification and footswitch socket.

A little crackle in the knob when you turn it on but sounds great if you like those vintage sounds. minor chip in the wood veneer but overall a nice presentable example.
Apparently these are suitable for circuit bending if you are into that.
A nice original example you will not see many of these on Ebay UK

Elgam vintage analogue drum machine from the 1970's in full working order. Rare to ebay and hard to find alot of info on the web.

Has a some tiny rust pits on it but nice its a nice colour and wooden ends for that vintage feel! I think it originally had knobs on the sliders but they work fine. Measures approx 12 x 10 inches. Nice addition to any vintage collection. Cash on collection is possible from the Reading area otherwise i can post.

Drum machine with rock solid onboard pattern based sequencer
Produces more of a 'human' type drum sound so would be ideal for recording guitarists

Stereo or Mono output with Midi input so can be controlled from an external midi controller or sequencer
Item is unboxed and without instructions, cosmetically in grade C/D condition, fair amount of wear to the finish and the battery cover is a replacement hence is a slightly different colour; I noticed while testing that some of the pads/buttons are not as responsive as they should be- all of the buttons do work, just some require a firmer press than others. Aside from this the item is in good working order.
(I grade the condition of my items thus : A=Mint or near; B= Light wear; C= Moderate Wear; D= Road Worn)

Please note this listing is for the unit only, you will need either a Boss PSA power adaptor or it can be run off 6x AA batteries (not included)

This drum machine has recently been isolated from a Farfisa 252RS organ. It provides a selection of warm, retro drum patterns of the bossa nova variety that frankly sound awesome! A number of dials give you control of tempo, volume, etc.
As you can tell from the picture there a number of wires emanate from the rear, this is where I have separated it from the organ. I expect the winning bidder of this machine will know what to do with them.

The Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-1 has a secured place in drum machine history
as the first transistorised machine to appear on the market in 1967.
The Rhythm Ace was the brainchild of Ikutaro Kakehashi,
(founder of Ace Tone and later, Roland in 1972).
With this in mind, it is fairly safe to draw the conclusion that the FR-1
was effectively the first of the Roland TR (Transistorised Rhythm)
series of drum machines.

The FR-1 effectively revolutionised the industry because prior to this,
what few drum machines there were, ran on valves and before that,
via a mechanical disc system.
Transistors must have been the "new thing" back then because
the components are even listed in the specifications...
